well i ended up pulling the trigger on a 355 and there's a couple of bits and bobs that i will be doing to it to bring it up to spec.... so as always i thought i would consult the good folk of PH

1) i need to source a heat deflector in the engine bay which is missing rh side as you look at it

2) looks like someone has fitted another battery conditioner connection, is this common?

3) its a pretty stock car, but is it worth putting a capristo or something similar on? if so where would be the best place to get one....

thanks in advance

Ps also can anyone point me in the direction of where we should look for the socket for the battery conditioner, as at the moment we can seem to find one.....

Hi Mate, few years now since I sold mine but I don't think you can charge via a cigarette type port as with the modern stuff, hence why most connect direct to the battery, or at least I did.

you want capristo or tubi, give roger at TFC a call as he often has used ones in stock.

Cheers mate, is it easier enough to do direct to the battery?

When u say TFC do you mean the Ferrari centre?

Cheers

some clown put the battery in front of the front offside wheel (RHD)was a bit fiddly but do able.

I seem to recall you can connect as well behind one of the seats but I maybe getting confused with the 360 whos battery is in the passenger footwell (RHD) but I connected direct to that as well.

Yes Ferrari Center Maidstone, again roger will tell you where to connect best as well

There must be a secret stash of these somewhere as so many are missing.....

Try any of the breakers and place a wanted ad on the marque specific sites. That should flush a couple of dozen out of hiding smile

My 1999 F355 charges just fine through the ciggie socket, I use a CTEK battery conditioner.
