Any input would be appreciated, is anyone speccing the lift system ?

Nero
option wheels
Shields
Yellow Calipers
Carbon Fog Lamp & Rear air ducts, under sills, dash & bridge.
Racing seats with yellow stitching,horse & stripe, yellow belts
Rev counter yellow
LED Carbon Steering & Carbon driver zone.
Italian Flag on rear
Parking Cameras & folding mirrors.

I've gone fairly basic with no expensive carbon options...
Dealer aint happy & tells me the higher spec cars get built 1st :-(

Random question - all the carbon fibre options that always add huge value to the price, do they offer any sort of performance benefits? See, the sceptic in me has often suspected that manufacturers offer them in the hope that buyers will subconsciously associate 'carbon fibre' with 'motorsport', and assume that they somehow make the car functionally better. Is that the case though? Surely if they were essential, the carbon bits would come as standard rather than being options?

The carbon does LOOK great, but we all know it does sod all for the performance!

I was told I must spend heavy on options or I wouldn't see a car until 2017 !!

Have you guys got any indicative delivery dates yet?
My dealer has just got his demo car (which is devoid of any carbon!) and was spec'd by the factory.
I've also been told that there is a minimum spend - suppose it's like a couple turning up at your restaurant Ferdi, ordering a plate of olives and two glasses of tap water and hogging a table all evening!!!
I did a factory Atelier in July, and have spec'd a fair amount of carbon; not to save weight, just to help the environment and improve my 'carbon footprint' - front wing, intakes, air ducts, engine bay and rear fog lamp.... and all the interior bits
As per my 458, I've gone with the F12 style racing seats in preference to the old style 'Goldrake' version - not sure I like the ribbed Daytona version.
Paintwork in Rosso Corsa Metallica......
It just seems a long wait now - especially as I first saw & sat in the car at the launch event in Maranello back in February!

Have you seen the Metallic Rosso? How does it compare to the standard Rosso Corsa?

Yes - saw them side by side in the factory. The metallic corsa is a deeper red than the flat, nowhere deep as Mugello though, and in the sunshine the colour looked great. On the production line they had a number of 488's (and Speciales) in various colours. The black cars lose the vent details - side & bonnets IMO morphing into one lump - the white & yellow cars looked fantastic, majority having the black roof option. Have you seen the Metallic Rosso? How does it compare to the standard Rosso Corsa?
The Bianco Avus - pearl white also looks great - but is an £18K option!
I've been there before with triple layer paints - my 599 was in Rosso Fucco, - money that you'll never see back.
Whatever colour though, the car looks brilliant - just as the 458 did/does; this is just a facelift, with more power, and turbos. They still sound great as well

Makes sense though for them (both Ferrari and the dealer) from a profits point of view, even if it does leave a rather sour taste.
