Is now a good time to get into a 458 or should I wait until 488 is firmly here. Love my 430 but a little bored.

Sell the 430 now as there is strength in the market and that will leave you ready to pounce when the right spec 458 turns up over the next few months - 488 won't start arriving til about Easter

If you want to sell your (very nice) 430 privately I may have a buyer for you.

Thanks A, just had all the suspension (front & rear) changed under warranty and they are going to replace the clutch release bearing too (which is making a whirring noise), and address an oil leak from the right cam later on in the month. I also had an F1 sensor changed under warranty so paying £2700 to extend it has been well worth it. I will never have a F car out of warranty moving forward.

I will look to test drive a 458 and speak to others who have made the move and make a decision from there.

458 is a very, very worthwhile upgrade. A totally different league of car to the F430.

I sold my F430 recently as prices are good. When 458s come down a bit further I will certainly look to purchase one, but I'm in no rush and not worried about being without a 2nd car for 6-12 months.

How low do you want the 458s to come? Theres been some nice specced ones around the £130k mark

To be honest it's more about waiting for the right price & spec to be available at my local F dealer, they have treated me very well over the years so will be sure to buy any cars through them.

Ok colour?
Spec?

You can always ask them to source you one?

I could, but that would make it happen in the near future, rather than the distant future, and I am a lot more financially comfortable with it being in the distant future wink Haha, well as I'm after a Spider I hope that in the next year or two they will drop quite a bit. Though I've been waiting with no progress since the start of summer... hopefully when the 488 Spider is out & available on forecourts that will make the difference.

With the market of 430s as it is, I find it difficult to see the 458 spiders in thd form dropping much in price I'm afraid!

If you don't mind LHD - there's cars available starting at circa £90k. Some purists would argue that all Ferrari's "should" be LHD

Mileage is a bit leggy at 25k but Carbon seats etc

or,

or, a nice low mileage car for under £100k

Big difference between £80k for F430 Spider and £145k area. So I think it's possible for them to drop to that in a Year or so.

Great deals!
I'd just rather pay more a RHD personally, but still it's tempting!

I'm quite tempted by this as i spend half my time in Europe

Under £100k before haggling, good mileage, great spec

http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=...

I think at £90k GBP it'd be a good buy
