They seem rarely to be discussed on here, whilst new discussions, and old, rage on about the 355, 360, 430 and now the 488.

Is the 458 going to be the 'forgotten' one?

I don't think it's capabilities are up for question...

They're reliable and most are still under warranty, so nobody comes on here asking why it's making such-and-such a noise or where they can get an unobtanium part from.

Good! Little more utterly pointless than a 'Garage Queen'!

8000 miles in just over 12 months, 9 countries visited all bearing in mind I have 12 other cars to spread my mileage across and don't commute at all. Yet still like new, in no small part thanks to full Paintshield.

At risk of name dropping I got chatting to Derek Bell at our hotel in Woodstock yesterday after visiting Salon Prive. I complimented him on the classic Porsche GTS that he had in the car park and when I said, "You don't see many of them on the road" he said, "No, I like to use my cars, I can't stand people who buy cars and don't drive them" to which I agreed wholeheartedly.

I managed to stay cool throughout the 10 minute chat and didn't once point at him and shout "Wahoo, you're Derek Bell and you're talking to me about cars, can I have a selfie?".

Although I thought it. ;-)

He was given it as a gift by Porsche for winning Le Mans. I was chatting to him about it last year and he said it was the one car he would never part with.

MUCH better!

May be in a position for one of these next year, but colour is so important. Black wheels are a no-no for me though!
