458 Navteq maps updates
Discussion
Are they even 2010? My 2015 car doesn't have the Reims autoroute bypass which I think was completed in 2008 or similar. I've created a mount for an iPad mini between the heater controls and console using Co-pilot software and it works brilliantly although voice is a bit quiet so I'm waiting for a bluetooth speaker to arrive
You could be right. Nokia bought out Navteq in 2008, so who knows whether that was a limited partnership with Ferrari that wasn't renewed.
It's strange in this day and age that there is very little info available on Navteqmaps updates on Ferrari. I guess most owners don't care?
I had a similar response from a Ferrari dealer - it seemed like a question they seldom get asked?

I was told there is no part number for an updated DVD.
Do new cars till ship with this system, if so can the Nav version number be interrogated ?
You can definitely get the version, it's one of the menu options when you're on the nav screen. Sorry that doesn't help much, but I do remember seeing it in my car.Do new cars till ship with this system, if so can the Nav version number be interrogated ?
If as F355GTS says he hasn't got routes that were changed in 2008 on a 2015 car, then I would guess everyone has the same version? Seems incredible if so, even Porsche who I thought were particularly pedestrian at updating their factory nav managed to do it every couple of years or so.
Also - isn't the nav on a hard drive? I seem to recall someone on another forum saying that there is a 30GB hard drive somewhere in the car, and if you have nav only 20GB of it is useable?

F only issued 1 update for 458 sat nav during its life in ~2011. Now its EOL there won't be any further updates. Graypaul/Sytner used to list on their after sales service offers, but it is no longer there following their website redesign.
In the menus of the sat nav it says go to navteq.com to get updates, and here is your VIN number. Pointless of course as navteq does not sell F nav updates.
For reference my nav NIT software (not map data) is listed as 14.08.20, with nav data version 9.10.2.339064.

HR Owen now state on their website that there is an available update for the 458 and California: -
