On a difficulty scale of 1 to 10 I would place it at 2 (and only because a couple of the nuts are have to be done blind).
In terms of cost you could probably pick up a second hand solid panel for less than £100 as there are loads knocking around. I'd pay maybe £60 to have it painted but it depends on the body shop.
You could sell the old grill for about £700 so the whole exercise would be cash +ve. However you need to consider the cooling benefits that the grill gives - I would never do the swap this way round.

Thanks for the replies. Great advice regarding the cooling aspect of the Challenge grille. Was only a minor aesthetic issue for me. Can live with either. I've just arranged to go and see a car in Paris tomorrow which has a Challenge rear and what the ad says are Scuderia split rim alloys. From the photo, not my choice, but the rest of the aspects of the car are all good, so might consider changing them for standard or Challenge Stradale style. Does anyone have any knowledge of whether the Challenge Stradale style wheels easy enough to get hold of? Have seen posts about going up to 19" and wouldn't want to do that, but have always liked the look of them.
The Scuderia didn't come with split rim wheels, although the 360 did.
The Challenge Stradale only came with 19" wheels although you can sometimes source 18" Challenge wheels.
Here's some info I wrote down a while back about the wheels offered on the 360: http://aldousvoice.com/2012/11/21/ferrari-360-whee...
