Has anyone seen these pics of the 360 test mule from back in 1998?

Fascinating... and hilarious. Looks like a bad replica. Except... genuine F40 rear wing? On a 360? I'm so confused. Most of the shape is there though, wing mirrors, front intakes, side upper and lower intakes, exhausts, under-body.

It's just Ferrari's way of disguising the final shape of the car whilst testing it to the max on the public roads - They've been doing it for years.

For the Enzo test mule, they used 348 parts to help disguise it from the motoring press:

That, too, is very neat.

I'd have fun creating one of these.

They didn't always go to quite so much effort. This mule was in the Ferrari Museum a few years back.

Decidedly cheap replica looking.

If you Google "Ferrari test mules" you'll find loads of pictures of disguised cars.

(The LaFerrari test mule seemed to carry a different disguise every time it left the factory!)
