I picked up my first Ferrari (F430 spider) a week ago and it has impressed me massively, something that I had not read about in reviews and was surprised at is how easy it is to drive when you want to use it like this. As sedate around town as my Golf R but when you want some fun it is a crazy, high revving scalpel like tool.

I have fallen for its looks after thinking it looked a bit awkward in the past, the build quality is good and I am enjoying the whole experience of a open top car.

A couple of annoying things are the paint is fairly soft compared to German stuff I have owned and I have a few niggles which I will sort.

Rattle from exhaust tips
Bose subwoofer not working

Im going to get the car how I want it with ride height and geo and enjoy a couple of road trips this year.

Some pics!

Thanks!

Not had a Porsche for some time, recently had a Gallardo. Have done 911's for nearly 10 years and the current market is bonkers so thought I would try something Italian.

That is my perfect spec! - Like that a lot - curious as to your reasons in choosing this over a gallardo spider as i know you were searching for one some time ago. Hope you enjoy many trouble free miles in it.

ah didn't see your last post - why did you move from the gallardo so quickly?

Thanks Lambo666! I have a habit of changing cars a lot. Lifes short and I like trying different cars. Loved the Gallardo and didn't expect to sell it so quickly but it just kind of happened so I thought I would try a F430.

When I chose the Gallardo it was between F430 and a Gallardo so knew I would probably have both cars at some point.

They are very different cars to drive and own, both great and are a pleasure to own.

Looks lovely. For some reason I think the Challenge wheels suit Nero more, can't quite put my finger on it, perhaps it's because the silver is more of a contrast.

Challenge rear grill too.

Enjoy in good health smile

Think I'm mixing you up with someone else, similar username. Porsche market certainly a bit crazy of late. I like the Gallardo and the F430. Haven't driven many F cars other than a 458 Speciale and a California. Enjoy!

Well done that man. I love black ferrari's in general, but especially the 430 spider.

Whats wrong with the paint? Earlier models had soft paint, but these days they are a bit harder. However, they come a right mess from the factory.

modern paint is now water based rather than oil based, and also has to be durable to survive car wash machines in certain German districts, where hand wash is forbidden.
All being more environmentally friendly.

Well, if you need the swirl marks taken care of and a hard wearing sealant applied, just drop me a line.
