Bringing a car in from Northern Ireland
Discussion
Jason
I purchased mine from Northern Ireland and had no issues but admittedly it was registered in England in the first place.
Make sure you get copies of the Northern Ireland MOT's as they are not linked to our DVLA system.
When i took mine for an MOT last month there was a big jump on the recorded mileage and that was because the last MOT it knew about on our system was in 2011.
Only other problem I had was that the car had private plates which the owner wanted to keep, you have to make sure the car is still taxed when you do this but I think that's the case everywhere now.

Thanks Rob - that's really helpful.
Hopefully it's passed the inspection at Charles Hursts and I can start arranging transport

Couldn't agree more. Arthur, their Service Manager is a gem.Like you say, it's been a very easy purchase.
Should hopefully be on my driveway Wednesday - like a kid with a new toy at the moment
