Hello

I will shortly be popping my Ferrari cherry - I have an 430 Scud on the way.

Have 3 weeks to worry if I have made the right decision or should have played safe and bought a 996 RS.....

Would welcome views from current or past owners as to just how good a car the Scud is. Media seem to hold it in high standing, both at the time and more recently.

Has anyone tracked theirs? Would it stand up to 2 days at the Ring ? My benchmark is my 997.2 RS which didn't miss a beat.

Thanks

B

what colour have you bought?

Great choice and well done. As good as it is i don't think it will hold a candle to your 997 for track fun!

Hoping to find one myself for euro gaunts.

There are a few guys who track their Scuds on ferrarichat - might find some useful info there.

I have just committed to a Scud (collect Friday), I believe a LHD Scud is a real bargain right now, considering the price difference to RHD is £80 - £100k, and really it's an amazing machine, perhaps the best car you can buy for £110-130k retail!

Incredible cars, can't wait to finally own one rather than enjoying other people's :-)

What spec did you go for? Colours?

Seems there are a few of us who have taken the plunge on a LHD Scud recently. As you say - i really can't see anything on the market that can touch them in terms of value for money (my opinion only).

I'm hoping to pick mine up in 3 weeks or so - Rosso Scuderia was the colour of choice from me, with all the usual extras... You??

:-)

Smart money I hope. We just need to talk them up now ;-)

Rosso corsa, grey stripe/wheels, black interior, led's, harnesses, hifi, oddly Rosso Scuderia calipers

I would love to go more off piste with the colour scheme, I.e the blue one at Mr 911 but I worry for resale ect, unfortunately that is a major consideration for me.

Took mine out today for the first time in a while and had forgotten how brilliant it is. For LHD money I really can't think of anything else worth having. Personally I don't subscribe to the must have red theory but each to their own. It is your car so have it the way you want it.

Agree with that - so put my money on a Giallo Modena version. Whatever colour though they are awesome.

Hello
Thanks for all of the replies - been busy trying to sell a car or two to make room for the Scud!

It's LHD, 14k miles, rosso scuderia with charcoal stripes, gold wheels , all the goodies you want internally,

Interesting to see a few others with same approach and rationale for buying. When I see the price of used californias, I think the car is the Ferrari bargain of the moment.......

Saw yellow Speciale last week and fell in love pretty instantly - that could be next in a year or so
