bored with my 430 spider
Discussion
I don't know why, but I'm just not feeling the love this spring, perhaps its just the lack of use with me being busy, or the endless cleaning lol.
I just wondered what was a fair price to ask for Silverstone/ burgundy spider with 19k miles, or would I be raped if I traded it !
funny enough I fancy buying a Harley - so I can keep it in my living room and polish it during the winter.

I could see those people who've always dreamed of owning a Ferrari echoing CremeEgg's sentiment. The OP's comment is a little uncomfortable to read given the plight of some folk in this country. Perhaps prefacing it with 'I know I'm incredibly fortunate but...' might have taken the edge off it.

Taken the edge of it? People just need to stop being so jealous and judgmental. Its human nature to get what you want, then want something else, or get used to what you have. If you not feeling the love, as said try adding a bit more noise, if that doesn't do the job, sell it and get the Bike fix.
I unplugged the valves on mine this weekend, and it was a LOT louder - constant noise.
I did enjoy it, "and I know I am incredibly fortunate" but I missed the roar kicking in at around 4000rpm when I put my foot down.
It's so easy to do that i'm just going to decide on a drive to drive basis whether i'll kkeep the valves open or not.
But, 100% give it a go. It sounds like a different car which could be enough to spice it up for you.

Can you advise the method to have the bypass valves constantly open please ??
I'm assuming its removal of plug in sensors but appreciate your advice
Thanks in advance

I looked at a few places online and am passing on what i've read. I am no mechanic!
Below is a pic -
Open the engine cover and look straight down...
There should be a small rubber hose connected to the red-circled area in the photo above. Disconnect the hose and put a plastic golf tee in the end of the now loose hose. Replicate this on both the left and right hand side.
Tuck the hose up and tie it with a cable tie to stop it flapping around.
The valves will now stay permanently open and you will soon have letters of complaint from your neighbours about the intrusive noise
It takes about 2 minutes.
If you don't like it, plug the hose back on.
