Bloody hope she keeps the speciale as well. Love the fact she's done well and is a massive petrol head. Speciale is a proper bumble bee spec but I love it!
Yeah I've seen it it really suits that colour, she posted these up last night. https://instagram.com/p/11DkGenPt3/

It's interesting to see the evolution of design of Ferrari's V8 series like this! AMD87 said:

I like it but it really PI**ES me off that they spec the show cars so drably, most rosso corsa cars come with crema leather, so why not have the show car like that in the first place (makes the interior feel more roomy too). And they don't bother putting the carbon on the inside of the car - have a sneaky feeling thought that its to make you spend all the money on the options. As I am guessing most 488s will not leave maranello with less than £20K of options and most will be £30k ish at a guess? Once you spec in the essentials like front lift, nav, carbon bits, nice paint (rather than resale spec), wheels etc, shields all becomes a more expensive affair very quickly, goes from a £190k car (I think price is around that) to a £210k + car pretty much instantly. https://instagram.com/p/11DkGenPt3/

Or am I being Naive that people will spec their cars as well as those that I have seen (458s rather than 488s) ?
Looks much better from the back than the front in my opinion though.

I suspect that they don't put crema leather and carbon interiors into the show cars (and the test cars), because they show up the wear and tear of hundreds of people clambering in and out of the car far more than black leather and non-carbon parts.Or am I being Naive that people will spec their cars as well as those that I have seen (458s rather than 488s) ?

Crema leather is a bit of a btch to keep clean at the best of times and carbon trim scratches oh so easily.
The last thing you want your show car to look like is a 10 year old neglected model after only being at three events!
Just a thought!

Fair point about the leather, but the plastic they have where the carbon should be just looks cheap and nasty Thats all I meant, but accept what you mean!

Only in the UK, only since the late 70s / early 80s. God knows why.
Fancied a change from black or tan? People became more vain? who knows. Interiors are all personal preference and some people do some wacky things (Ive seen tan with green suede/alcantara inserts on an FF and F12)....
Its what makes cars of that class special, the fact you can ,within reason, have whatever you want leather/alcantara wise.
Could have the cabin in red or blue carbon if you want - but be prepared to spend
Think the 488 will still appeal to most, I personally am not sure with the front. Back definitely more impressive,
know quite a few people that went, they said more people were more bothered about an F12 Aperta or F12 Speciale/GTO the common thing I have heard echoed was 'lazy design' and lines not quite right.
However everyones opinions differ and I am sure what I have said will be shot down in true PH style

Am I the only person on here who had to Google to find out who Amy MacDonald is?
Many Don't know her - but if you know top gear, you should know her as I think she was the fastest woman round the top gear track. Well known for liking her cars.
Ill forgive you :P

I had to google her too. Was half expecting someone from TOWIE
Don't think many of that lot could afford to, That said, Mick Norcross is a club owner and has a GTC,
And Mark Wright used to have an SLS AMG Roadster, so can't be bad for the smart ones, the rest however I don't think are likely to!
Not that Im intentionally talking them down a peg...
Most aren't down with the kids, so I wouldn't worry, doesnt matter in the grand scheme of things.
I stopped in on the way past this afternoon after only getting a brief look at Geneva.
Looks ok, I like the interior but the intakes in the flanks seem bigger every time I see it.
I'm looking forward to reading some reviews.
Does anyone know what the 'turbo' button on the left side of the dashboard is for? Is it a display option or an over boost thingy?
