F355 key fob and immobiliser query

I have mislaid the red fob for the immobiliser and have just the black one and a key. Now, the black fob occasionally plays up and it takes ages to start the car. Is there a way of bypassing the immobiliser? I dont want to end up unable to use the car as a consequence...

Try changing the battery in the remote fob. You can't bypass the immobiliser, but there are people that can copy your remote but it involves sending your (only!) working fob away to be duplicated...

This worked on my 550, not sure if will work on the 355. You need to know your four digit pin code.

Spare fobs for cloning (as in post 2) appear on Ebay quite often

The company number on that website comes backs as a carpet company in Ipswich, all officers live in Ipswich and there is only a mobile phone number. Looks good enough to trust with your only key?

Whether I was watching or not I wouldn't give someone who has given wrong name/address details and can only be contacted by mobile the opportunity to copy my key fob.

If you have the pin code for the car you can add another set of fobs as per the factory method. The company in Australia can retrieve the pin code from the immobilizer, this will allow you to put the system back to its original state: 3 independent fobs, not clones, and the pin code to start the car with the key. Only problem is that you need to send the immobilizer ECU to Australia.
