djon - I'm picking my car up this afternoon - with the telemetry stuff - so will ask. I'm off to Spa over the weekend - and will try it out.....
Anjum, many thanks. We're at Silverstone this Sat and would like to have a clearer idea. The dealer I'm dealing with knows nothing...Enjoy, they're fantastic things.
Ok - so the key is to have the USB formatted! And then download the app (I think the PC version is available from Ferrari.com)
I toggled between having camera (front - behind the rear view mirror) - and rear (from in-between the rear seats - in the ceiling). Looked good - and you can change between the two. You can also specify how many laps (up to 2 hours worth of Audio and Video).
I think it takes 500M to figure out that you're on a track (It talks GPS to something - a satellite I guess?) - and then starts understanding the location and your relative position. Am downloading the telemetry app for my iPad/iPhone and Mac (if there is one). Will let you know how I get on at Spa on Saturday!
Fingers crossed!

Thanks Anjum. The PC software is on the Ferrari USB they supply. I've managed to get it loaded on the PC, and it records data (GPX file, video etc) - we can view the video in media player, except it's set up for left hand drive for the driver's camera. We have it set to main forward facing camera and a picture in picture for the driver. You can set your own trail which then recognises when you've done a loop, then it starts recording lap times.
The ipad software works well, but seems limited compared with what the PC software promises. The PC software doesn't recognise any of the files created by the car - that's the main issue.
I doubt you'll want to play too much anyway with it if it's your first time with it on track anyway, you'll be enjoying yourself too much! Enjoy!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it at Spa, we're there in a few months. Also at FNE day any Donny on the 31st if anyone else is heading to that one?

Mate - the Track Cams and Telemetry are epic! I have video of me going around Spa - with the VDA telling me that the tyres (Cup 2) are too cold - took 6 laps to get them up to temp! The Video captures images and sound really well - very stable, as its all built in - connects to the GPS and tracks you around the Lap. Have uploaded the files to the Telemetry software - and have just booked next visit to Spa next month to see the difference! I just hope its drier than it was on Saturday!
