Would you sell a Scuderia for a 458...
Discussion
As the question suggests...
I was chatting to a mate during my commute today and the question was raised 'what would I sell the Scud for?' 'Nothing' came the reply as for me it's a keeper - however I did then think what the options would be (for me personally) and these are limited to two.
1) 458
2) 458 Speciale (future swap)
Taking the Speciale out of the equation I was wondering what opinion might for a Scud / 458 swap or indeed if anyone has gone that route...?

Have you driven a 458 Mark? I have and most definitely wouldn't swap the Scuderia for one, can't comment on a speciale, not driven one yet....
Hey Kev... No never driven one so cant say personally. I would say the 458 looks a bit 'softer' than the Scud (one of the main reasons why I love the Scud is for it's rawness).Have you collected your Scud yet?

That's a fair observation I'd agree with, 458 is a fantastic car no doubt but just doesn't have the raw edge, it's a bit too "nice" "soft" "comfortable" for my taste. Have you collected your Scud yet?
Yes car is up at main dealer having a check over, waiting for the road salt to disappear

LOL... What makes you say that? This thing is EPIC, done circa 3000 miles since October already, not put a foot wrong and have a 2 year factory warenty - plus has remote Exhaust valve installed for 'loud' on tap. Whats not to love about that! First car I've ever said is a keeper and with it sat next to my Desmo (also a keeper) I can kick back with a cold one knowing the (car and bike) chase is over - now it's all about the drives and rides!

Exactly what I was thinking...
If history repeats itself ala 430 Scuderia and CS prices you may even come out of the Scud into a 458 Speciale with cashback lol. Kerrrrching ! Be interesting to see how Scud and Speciale prices go from here on in. Personally I can see any future price rises eroding and potentially a price correction for all but the rarest low mileage examples sought after by collectors.
Just can't see 20,000 mile +, 7 year old cars fetching over £200k as good as the Scud maybe. You can get a lot of newer car for that money
I was never tempted to swap out of my Scud for a 458 even though in most ways you can measure, the 458 is a better car.
Having limited time to use it, I loved that it was a bit more raw and felt more edgy, and was that much more exciting when I did take it out. If I was getting out more maybe a 458 would have been tempting....maybe.
I've just parted with my Scud for a Speciale after lots of dithering and I'm not missing it like I thought I would. It was great car and I had a lot of fun with it but to me the current CS & Scuderia prices make the Speciale look like a bargain.

Don't think I would, but I have a decision to make pretty soon as having thought my scud was going to be with me for a long, long, time I have a deposit on a new 991 GT3 RS and I have been told I stand a good chance of getting one. The number of build slots is not yet known here and the list wasn't long when I placed my deposit.
I also have my eye on a 512 TR owned by my friend...so I might end up with this and a Porche GT of some sort for less than the price of a Speciale. Or I might just keep the Scud
