Manual Ferrari V8
Discussion
A little bit of speculation, currently in the midst of saving for a Manual Coupe or Spider F430 but I am concerned that with the new V8 being FI that we will see an increase in the value of older V8 Ferraris.
With the current price delta between F430 and 360 of appx £15 /20k would it be worth, as an entry to Ferrari ownership, perhaps buying a 360 to ensure you are tied into the market before upgrading to a F430?
I am probably 18months away from having the funds available for either and will be living in Germany anyway (tempted by the lower priced LHD) but just wondering what everyone's views are.
Of course prices might come down if the supposed 'bubble' bursts but who knows!

You probably need best part of £60k now for a nice 360 so not sure the difference is as great as it was previously as 430 has remained fairly static.
unless your saying right now you have 55 but not 70 then I think you will be in trouble as 360 is already on the upward trend and I would suspect will probably overtake 430 values.

TISPKJ - I don not currently as I am focused on paying off my mortgage which with the interest I will save essentially allows me to purchase a Ferrari for free (man maths) well I would of only given the money to the bank!
If (and I hope) the 488 forces the 458 prices down I would expect F430 process to also drop but with the current trend of rising 360 prices where does that leave the F430! hopefully on a downward trend ...
It will be an interesting few months, the strong GBP also makes a LHD a serious contender as I will be spending he next few years at least living on the continent and a well looked after 360 can still be had for sub 60,000 Euro and F430 sub 80,000 (Manual of course) which massively undercuts any UK RHD prices.

all the valuation threads have been done to death..............but i keep a keen eye on 430 prices as i have a vested interest. they aren't going down but rather slowly up.
if you pop into the classifieds now apart from the huge mileage 2 at the end it seems that an 05 car in manual is worth around mid £70k's ......the same cars a couple of years ago were mid £60k's
i've had 2 manuals now and when i bought the last one i actively sought manual because it seemed to me something good to own the last ferrari to roll off the production line with the iconic open gate.
i've been led to believe that around 10% of all f430 production was manual and with my full intention being to keep this car for a long long time this can only be a positive thing.
i see the entry level 458 as having a bottom out price of not a lot lower than they are currently fetching, certainly north of 100k for a long time to come.

Quite true, but as I haven't bought one yet ... I hope they do come down!
Interesting a few people seem to think the 458 will stay North of 100k for some time yet, personally I think the best option for me is to buy LHD from Germany whilst I am living there and import into the UK upon my return - whether it be a 360 or F430 I am not too sure yet.

.......but a lhd when back in the uk will be worth considerably less than rhd. if you're only in Germany for a short while but are then moving back to the uk permanently surely a rhd would be better long term??Interesting a few people seem to think the 458 will stay North of 100k for some time yet, personally I think the best option for me is to buy LHD from Germany whilst I am living there and import into the UK upon my return - whether it be a 360 or F430 I am not too sure yet.
