Some on here will know that for the last 15 months I have been tooling around Dubai in a manual 360 spider.
For various reasons now is the right time for me to think about bringing the car back to the UK.

She was originally supplied to Japan and already has a rear foglight fitted.

I believe that the 360 has sliders on the back of the headlights to change between LHD and RHD beam pattern.

I'm aware that I'll need to switch over the dash readout into MPH

Has anyone gone through the import procedure before.... any hurdles I've not mentioned / large costs I've not thought of?
At the moment it seems to be a pretty straightforward cheap process (cheap mainly because AIUI having owned the car for longer than 6 months there's no import duty or VAT to pay)

Any and all advice gratefully received.

I'm sure it is easy if you know the process however I don't have a clue.... can you enlighten me?

I can sort out the de-registration from Dubai and the boat to the UK easily enough (I work closely with a logistics bod) but the process once the boat arrives in the UK is unknown to me.

I have received a quote from the company mentioned above and it's a lot more than I was hoping so the idea of doing it myself does appeal!

Is your 'logistics bod' also recommending someone who can handle the customs entry on import - if not look in the American Cars section for a specialist car import & registration broker at/near the dock - why not talk to a Ferrari specialist near where you'll be living to see if any have experience of handling as you'll need a destination for it to be trucked as soon as its cleared customs so as not to incur storage charges
