Looks more like a facelifted 458 rather than an all new car....but my god is that gorgeous!

I find it hard to get excited about this car, not sure why
in contrast to the Ford GT which made me pick up the phone

I can't help but wonder what how will this impact 458 prices? I was lucky to get a 991 GT3 and would consider a straight swap for a 459 14 plate, but how long would I need to wait until the prices meet? The 488 looks amazing but will be well out of reach for quite a while!

I'm in exactly the same position...it just doesn't do it for me.

I'm just praying I get the GT and Ford don't mess us around!

I think it's a great looking car. Well done Ferrari!

Think Ferrari now need something a little cheaper (if that's the right word) to be priced under the Cali, to compete with the P13 at £120-£150. Or perhaps Ferrari don't care and can sell all the cars they can make at £200k plus

Stunning stunning car... Bet it looks the dogs danglies in the flesh and goes like stink. Just hope it brings the noise, but being Ferrari and the noise being part of their USP I cant see them not. After all the F40 sounds pretty cool! biggrin

Question is... This or a Speciale? Tough one that but I'd be inclined to go Speciale...

Admittedly better looking than I thought it would be but then I am a fan of the 2nd generation F cars. They just seem to evolve and round off the flaws/edges of the original.( hence F355GTS and 430 scuderia )

Would still take a 458 Speciale over this new offering though both in looks and noise

As they say beauty is in the eye of...
Just doesn’t do it for me and for those buying I hope they’ve learnt from the last GT car how to make these things go round corners...

I'm struggling with the whole concept of a mid-engined V8 Ferrari with a Turbo, which is incidentally why I never really got excited by McLarens recent offerings - and yes in principle I'm not a fan of the F40 engine either before anyone mentions it. 488 looks great, but in my book the mid engined V8 Ferrari should always have a NA screamer in it. If you've got to go a bit eco, I'd rather it went down the e-hybrid route....turbos have always seemed a bitlot like cheating to me.

It's gonna be a sad day when Porsche go FI in a year or so's time for their mainstream cars as well frown It's an over-used term, but for me, def the end of an era, don't think I'll ever get quite as excited about a new Porsche/Ferrari as I did in the past. In fact, that's what's spurred me on to break my own "no new car" rule and spunk a load of cash on a new Boxster GTS order, it's the last chance I'll reasonably get to order a new car I really desire with the type of engine I want.

All the pictures are so obviously CGI - the shot from above / behind shows the front wheel completely off-cock! I believe there was a 'Dealer' presentation last week with an 'incomplete' car. Hopefully it will be a revelation in Geneva next month smile
Just booked my tickets today;)
