Thought I'd post in case it helps anyone else- enquired about ordering a 458 Speciale over the weekend and was told the book was closed and UK allocation has been sold. Unsure whether that is just for this dealer (HR Owen) or more widely.

Obviously it would be great news for existing owners' residuals if that is the case. But then I've no experience of this dealership, so could be BS, i'm not entirely sure.

Open to any steers on available cars...

Your dealer is correct, Speciale orders finished for UK a week ago.

The factory will be presenting the new 458T to some customers in the next few weeks, then I suspect a re-tool over summer shut down for production to start in September

If you after a Speciale, have a look here as I've been capturing all UK adverts. Most are still for sale.

The Hampshire classics one on page 3 is now with me redface Also the advert they had on your page 2 is the same car description with a generic photo, they must have dropped the price after they took delivery and put a couple of hundred miles on it.

Nice car, I see the mileage went up from 12 miles to 91 miles, perhaps that why they reduce the price by £10k hehe

So on that reckoning is it worth £25k less now ?????? God forbid you get to 1,000 miles as some on here will think its worthless with high miles.

Go drive it like you stole it and enjoy it as it was designed to be driven and driven hard

Thanks again for the input- will be keeping my eyes peeled.

I still think a 599 GTO will do better value-wise, but it's finding that extra 100k. Need to check down the back of the sofa...

You might need an extra £200k. I heard a low mileage one went for just under £450k two weeks ago.

Cracking car, absolutely sublime to drive and a real weapon. Was so closed to ordering one of these before the 650S and was torn between speccing as white or yellow to be different for a change. If I could of got a spider it would of been a no brainer

Be interested to know how many actually get built for the UK as Ferrari insisted it wasn't a limited number and as a regular production car albeit limited timeframe I was nervous the number could easily creep up above 200.

Sure to be a classic EVEN if I don't own one ! Or is that BECAUSE I DONT OWN ONE laugh

doubt I'll ever sell it anyway, its the best car I've ever driven and the spec is great, I'd have paid an additional premium to get it.

There's a Rosso Scuderia with black stripes for sale at Stratstone Wilmslow. Been there since November! Must be a deal now if no longer available?

Did you pay over list then ? Why didn't you place order and spec your own car ?
It was fairly easy to get a build slot last year - I think I enquired in August/September from memory and was told I could get a definite build slot for Dec/Jan.

There was a glut of speculators cars for sale a while back but after sticking for months before xmas they must be moving now as the numbers have reduced dramatically.

Definitely a good keeper car and one I would look at again used in 2-3 years time if CS and 430 Scuderia history repeats itself, but I'm not sure it will to the same extent with Speciale as it is a special car and the last of the N/a V8's which has got to be in its favour

Paid list price, When I decided that's what I wanted at end of October I was told it would be unlikely I'd get one from the factory, so rather than wait to be bumped and get my deposit back in 4 months time, I grabbed this one as its pretty much the spec I'd have ordered anyway. I'd maybe have asked for the alcantara centre console but that's the only thing its missing.

Will check, thanks. Think Rosso with/without stripe favourite.

HR Owen have just posted a yellow one on the official Ferrari Approved list.
A bit bright but actually looks really good.
If you can get one from Carrs though much better place to do a deal IMHO.If it is their demonstrator it had pretty much every option and some extras on top.
