I hear it's possible as these cars are not very complicated, if it is possible, what is the cost for an indie to carry out the job?

The thought keeps coming to mind, the price of RHD's continue to out pace the LHD's leaving a considerable price difference in the current market.

my opinion is do not do it - the car will probably be worth less and in all likelihood worse to drive than a lhd car. i had lhd cars in the uk and it was perfectly fine. also pedal position on the 355 manual is alot better on lhd than rhd. also it will probably cost quite a lot to convert

The cost of the conversion would be far greater than the price difference between a RHD and LHD car.

It would make more sense to simply get used to driving a LHD car!

It's a sizeable job, involving, but not limited to; Steering rack, adaptions to bulkhead, wiper mechanism and arms, main wiring harness, central dash harness, airbag wiring harness, complete dashboard, pedal box, brake pipes, modification to passenger side floor-pan, A/c pipes, adaptions to both door wiring harnesses, instrument cluster. Many, many thousands of pounds worth of parts and many, many hours of Labour....

As above...don't . If you keep as a lifetime car..ie you take to your grave it is no issue. There have been others done and they are a pig to shift. You're pitching in cat d territory on a car that's great as a lhd. You spend a large amount on the conversion but will lose more on it on resale. If you can't stretch to a rhd then buy a lhd......it will give amazing reward as is. Some say its a better car set up this way. Please don't molest with it.

Even if it ends up being an excellent conversion the history of the car will show that it was once a LHD, and you'll be sunk. You would be excluding anyone who would feel sufficiently uneasy about resale themselves, before they ever spoke to you.

Keep it LHD - not a problem and no offset pedals...

Yes possible, it gets done to classic cars all the time, that being said I would argue it'll be counterproductive in the long run. Originality is what makes up a reasonable chunk of the value of these sorts of cars and immediately what you're proposing is to get rid of that. Now, perhaps you can get away with it on a 1970s Maserati where there are only 10 in existence but the 355 isn't a particularly rare car, so in my opinion the conversion will always hold it back.

Just keep looking and wait for the right RHD car to come up, or buy a LHD. It makes a bit of getting used to but it's really not an issue.

I was out driving my buddies lhd 355 this morning in the UK, after 5 mins it just felt natural, no issues at all, save a few pennies by buying one and just enjoy the car, his has done over 150k miles and felt as tight as a drum.
