Evening all,

I have a 360 Modena F1 and am looking to drive to the factory in the spring or summer. I have done plenty of trips to northern Italy but not been as far as Maranello.

So my question is can you just turn up to the factory and have a wander around or do I need to contact them in advance. Also is it worth the visit - about a 6 hour round trip from where I would usually be staying. Do they close for the month of August like the rest of Italy?!

Finally, what can I reasonably expect in terms of fuel economy as it's going to be 2-2500 miles. I think I managed around 20mpg on a motorway journey but I've not really used the car enough to know for sure yet.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers

Simon

There is much to see in Maranello & Modena - factory tour itself needs pre-booking thro UK dealer and/or FNE - closed August

As mentioned visit has to be pre-booked. I did it last year and Maranello at Egham also arranged a visit round Maserati. In the area is the Enzo museum, Panini museum, Lambo, Pagani and Stangellini. so a fair bit to see. If you drive north to Brescia there's a museum there as well.

Can't say for a 360 but I got about 17mpg out of my 550. Did 3000 miles in a couple of weeks.
