the drivers side foot well carpet is wet,but strangely enough none of the upright carpets are wet.The back shelf carpet is completely dry so the leak does not appear to be coming from the rear panel seal.there is no damp around the steering wheel so it does not appear to be coming from the windscreen,also the engine air intake drains are all clear. Any ideas?
Thanks for responding to my problem,I had a good look at both seals which seemed fine and then putting my car back in the garage and shutting the door i noticed the window was still open ny a quarter of an inch.As you known when you open the door, to protect the soft top the window lowers by a quarter of an inch and is supposed close when you shut door.I got back in the car and turned the ignition on and used the dash switch to raise the window and the shut the door again,this worked so I will take it to my dealer. When you set the alarm if anything is open you get a double bleep.There must be a problem with the micro switch telling the computer the door is shut. Definitely something to look out for if you park the car out in the open, oh well that's Ferrari electrics for you!

Try resetting the window;
1.switch in ignition
2.open window, keep your finger on the button until you hear a click from inside the door.
3.raise the window fully until you hear the click.
4.repeat the above process fully once more.
This relearns the window positions. Often if the battery goes low or is disconnected it looses it's position. If the above makes no difference then yes, one if the two micro switches will need adjustment or replacement.

Mine did this too. It went back to Ferrari in August under warranty but it came back and did the same thing. In the end I fixed it myself! The issue on my car was where the window but up against the seal along the roof. certain sections of the seal lip had folded over ever so slightly and preventing the glass seating within its channel in the rubber seal. All I had to do was manipulate the seal so it sat correctly. It's been fine since.

Thanks I'll take another look at the seal because my car had just come back from the mechanics that were drying it out and they disconnected the battery which may have affected the window. whilst we are on the the subject of 430's .I drove my car down to spain this summer and it blew two exhaust down pipes( £3,500) with only 21,000 miles on the clock and they also advised me the manifolds were on the way out!.When I contact Ferrari they told tough luck it's out of warranty ! I explained to that this was my second set of manifolds, the previous ones having been replace under warranty and that my 22 year old Mazda RX7 twin turbo was on it's original exhaust system! they again responded with a negative e-mail.I told them i was very unimpressed with the way they built exhausts as my 355 in six years got through three manifolds.I now have uk built manifolds on the car with a lifetime warranty . When people ask me about buying a Ferrari I tell them to take it on a long trip whilst it's still under warranty and to set aside £5,500 for UK made stainless steel exhaust ! That's the end of my rant!

What do you mean by down pipes? There are only seven major parts to the exhaust system:Manifolds (x2)
Cats (x2)
Silencer (x1)
Tailpipes (x2)
I'm not being funny, just trying to understand what failed for you.
I should have said tail pipes, completely melted through, the main agent in Marbella , Slamanca's replaced them,it took a week for them to arrive. If posted the e-mail Ferrari sent me you be shocked by the complete lack of lack of customer support and understanding .Somehow I still can't bring myself to purchase a reliable German alternative .Regrettably a Ferrari is like a stunningly good looking women,you just have to put up with her mood swings!

They are right. The 360's get issues at higher mileage, but the 430 has a heavier exhaust and a very badly designed exhaust mounting system which causes the crap manifolds to fail. 360 manifolds are still rubbish but have less load to carry..Still talking 430's don't believe the hype about the upgraded Clarion unit which I have installed on my 430 it is great but you just can't see the screen when the roof is down ,it is impossible it's too dim.It is so dim you have to rely on the voice output of the gps to guide you,oh and also if you have a Mac you can't update the maps because it only caters for PC's and that doesn't stand for politically correct!
