Wondering if any Scuddies out there have experienced this and know what the cause might be: recently on full bore upshifts (to the redline no lifting of the throttle) instead of the usual "instant" thudding change up the revs rise as it de-clutches and then slurrs into the next gear. It happens 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd.

Any ideas out there - searched the forum but didn't find anything?

Is it doing it consistently or sporadically?

Sounds like an issue with the Superfast 2? I'm no techie but might be a sign the clutch is going?

Was worried about that but when I bought it 3K miles ago the clutch was 35% worn.

if it were clutch slip due to wear, revs would rise when it re-engages...... sounds more serious - could be software though

Rises as I hit the paddle for the upshift, obviously because of that it slips as the clutch reengages which can't be doing any good.

Do a clutch re-learn, dealer or a good independant should be able to do it.

These are fitted with software that carries out a clutch relearn every time you start it. You need a dealer/specialist with an SD3 to carry out the "torque transmittablity curve" procedure. Driving it as you are may well overheat the clutch, so best to get it done sooner rather than later. It takes about an hour to do, but it should be carried out with the car stone cold.
