How loud is a Scuderia?
Discussion
ONLY the Italians could make a track day car you can't take on the track !
Compared to the LP570-4 I actually think the scud is quiet but maybe that's the difference between a coupe and a spider.
Downshifts into 2nd in the Performante are off the richter scale, unbelieveable. Makes me laugh everytime.
Feel a full capristo system for the Scud is coming on

Italians are fine, no noise limits at either Monza or Mugello (ridden my open piped Desmosedici at both which would (not kidding) blow your permante thing in to the weeds )
Looks like that'll be a no for Silverstone then...
Thanks all, will give it a miss and wait for a Euro track jaunt next summer...

mine recorded 104Db at Castle Coombe at 4,500 RPM which was just over and then the git made me blip it to 6,000 at which point it went to 115Db. I was not a happy bunny but was expecting the worst.
I've since been looking for a track day to go on and I think that 105 is just about achievable if you are careful with the loud stick but it's touch and go. If they then have sensors on the track you will need to lift off or you'll get flagged for sure.
From what I've worked out, the best option is an open test day rather than a track day. You need your B licence ( which I have ) but noise can be up to 110-115 plus you will on the track with decent drivers in proper cars as opposed to some moron in a tricked up piece of crap who has no idea how to drive.
I'm currently on the hunt for a good day, maybe we could all do one together ? Safety in numbers on the noise front

This is by far and away the best idea, also no where near as crowded with the number of cars on track.I've since been looking for a track day to go on and I think that 105 is just about achievable if you are careful with the loud stick but it's touch and go. Been invited to a Ferrari only track day at Castle Coombe with other Scuderia owners and been told its a static 105Db test and that it will be fine I've since been looking for a track day to go on and I think that 105 is just about achievable if you are careful with the loud stick but it's touch and go. I am going to that event - I have a F430 F1 so presumed it would be pretty unlikely to fail a sound test as it is the regular spec model. But it did make me consider the implications of an upgraded/aftermarket exhaust. Interesting to hear that even a stock Scuderia can cause some problems, will be interesting to see how much louder vs regular F430 it is.Russell996 said:

So is this track exhaust exhaust quieter or louder?
Runs to max of 102db. Currently sell new for £2.8k+ vat! Mine is used - any offers?
