F430 Servicing
Discussion
If you have the option of a main dealer and you can build a good relationship I would still go this route - my local dealer is great and will price match any specialist for servicing. Added benefit the car keeps a full factory service history which is logged centrally on the Ferrari.com system for me and any future owner. You might be surprised the distance a main dealer will travel to collect and drop off your car! Having said that, there are a number of great independents.

Who's your main dealer...thanksNone of my cars go to main dealers, apart from the vw which is still under manufacturers warranty. The ferrari goes to Emblem Sports who are highly regarded and IMO agree. I went there through the reputation and references from fellow owners. If you get a good rapport going whether it's main dealer or indie it's a positive. As for the servicing on a car long term. Providing it has all paperwork, even if done by a reputable recognised indie. It will have no adverse affects on the future value of the vehicle.
I used Meridian when I had my 430 and I live near Northampton. Always managed to get free collection. The best way is to get 2 dealers to bid against each other. You will surprised how low you can get service cost down to. I would always use the main dealer purely because of the service history and stamps in the book not because they do a better job. Unfortunately when you sell the car more people (rightly or wrongly) will want to see a dealer service history than an indepedent. I would prefer (and have the skills and would probably do a better job) to service it myself but cannot because of resale time.

thanks for that idea I will look to phone 2 main dealers and get prices, I did go onto their web site to register service interest but no one has come back to me that was 10days ago, amazed how poor customer service is.
A dealership sign above the door will not always guarantee the best customer service/workmanship for your car. There are bad specialists and dealers alike.....paul71a said:
Call Chris at Meridien Modena: he heads the service team and is excellent....... He looks after my 2007 spider and has always been magnificent and totally transparent with the work and costs.
+1 for Meridien. They look after my cars as well and have never been anything other than fantastic.
