Hi all...

Apologies if discussed before as I can’t find it but does anyone know where the headlight adjustment is on the 430? Apparently there is a switch that can be thrown to flatten the beam when importing a car to save full headlight replacement and pass import MOT.

Many thanks in advance...

I don't think it is possible, from memory there was a thread a while back where an owner was temporarily importing a 16M as he was moving from Switzerland to the UK for a short period and the only option was replacement lights.

You could on the Stradale, but no on the Scud...sorry, sounds like it's going to be the expensive way.

I would suggest borrowing a set from a friendly 430 owner whilst you research further.
It may involve a bit of cutting and glueing but must be some way of adjusting the bulb angle.

at least for the speedo, it's just a sticker - that isn't expensive wink

Speak to Jack at import mycarimport.co.uk

I know he has done several UK registrations of LHD Scuds and it do not involve a replacement headlight...!

You need a receipt from a VAT registered garage stating that all required works have been done.

So you could say it's useful to have a friend with a VAT registered garage. I couldn't possibly comment rolleyes

There are two aspects - older cars (>10 yrs ?) have different rules & older Ferraris (pre 430 ?) have levers so it becomes a non-issue

For future reference in case anyone is interested...

OK... Just spoke to Jack at import mycarimport.co.uk who happened to have 2 Scuds in for import today. He kindly explained how to flatten the beam for the headlights on any 430. Remove both wheels and then the wheel arch covers. Reach through and feel for the back of the light where you will find a 'slider'. Move it to the opposite side and there you have it, UK compliant headlights. He did say he's usually charges and hours labour but kindly let me have that one for free...

Kph to Mph Speedo update, £79 for the part (more for the labour to fit) - http://www.clusterrepairsuk.co.uk/kmh-to-mph-dials...

Hi there, I am facing the same problem and need to convert my headlights. Does anyone have a pair of used UK spec F430s Xenons for sale?
