My 355 is for sale privately, but I'm a little worried when it comes to inviting strangers to my home for viewings. I wouldn't mind someone with a decent posting history on a forum coming round, but I'm getting interest from random people having posted an ad on CS. A friend was recently relieved of his Q7 by a very friendly, although well-armed gentleman while taking him out for a test drive. Insurance didn't pay out as he handed over the keys. What precautions, if any, do you take when selling your Ferrari privately?

If the car was stolen in the manner you say, then his insurers should be getting a letter from the FCA.

Install a cheap wireless camera at the front of house covering car and potential buyers. Make them aware of its presence.
