Has anyone on here done the Pilota driving course or heard what it is like ?
I'm thinking of doing it this year as they are running Speciales so would be good to get someone to show me how to drive it properly !

I did the sport driving course in June and got a lot out it. I hadn't really had any instruction before and to have an intensive two days was great. All of the cars have cameras so all of your sessions are recorded and you get some time reviewing with the instructors.

Some of the cars also have telemetry which you get to review against an instructor lap.

I know there's cheaper ways to do it but I'd recommend it, it was well run and the instructors were great.

They had 2 fresh Speciales there-it was interesting to be able to drive the Italia and Speciale back to back.

Thanks Johnny.I know it is expensive but sounds like it is worth the money.I drove an Italia when they were first launched so memory may be playing tricks but Speciale seems like a completely different car to me.What was your conclusion after back to back driving ?

I didn't feel short changed at all and everyone else I spoke to enjoyed it as well. It's worth the money.
The Speciale felt a lot different than the Italia overall but no one thing in particular felt hugely different - apart from the braking. If you used the same braking point in the Speciale you'd be going at a walking pace at the apex.
Great, car on the track. I had decided to hang onto my Scud for a bit longer but I find myself spending a bit of time this week looking at Speciale options and configs......

Hi I have done the pilota course and it was excellent! We'll worth the £££!!! Loads of track time and some really good tuition. The only real problem that when you get back you will have an expensive urge!!!!!

Pilota sport course done and still have smile on face.Hours of video to watch and annoy herindoors with.
Definitely worth the money for the experience.Could not fault the 2 days.I am sure there are many cheaper ways to learn track driving but not on Fiorano with Ferrari prepared cars, instruction and support.Would recommend it to anyone thinking about giving it a go.
Speciale is better in every dynamic way than Italia.
Surprise was F12.Felt difficult to drive fast in comparison to the 2 458s but on reviewing data was actually pretty comparable on corners with Italia and faster in straight line as you would expect. No doubt Italia is a better track car but for a big heavy GT F12 is pretty remarkable.
