Hi,

About to take the plunge on a used one of these and I am trying to decide if I need a car with the 7 year service plan or not. It seems to me that it all comes down to if the discs and pads are covered or not. If they are not, then it seems to me that its not a huge saving in the long term because its just the routine fixed price costs that are included. Given that I would be intending to track the car a fair bit, if they were covered it would likely make a big difference.

I can seem to find any clarification of this anywhere?

It's 7 year servicing, no wear and tear items are included. Ferrari allowance per service is £250 so you can imagine how much a dealer does compared to a customer paying £750-£1000.

Thanks,

So just marketing bks then. I assume it does affect residuals slightly because its seen by some people as a Ferrari with zero running costs.

Surely it's 7 years servicing with warranty, otherwise there would be no point, Mike

The warranty is separate. The Servicing plan alone does not include extended warranty beyond the normal 3 yrs is my understanding.

It's a basic service plan, still very worthwhile having.

But you can also pay to extend the warranty up to 12 years of age which is more than any other manufacturer as far as I know.

Ferrari warranty is 4 years

Regarding the comment that the service plan only pays the dealer £250 - that sounds worrying. How do you know? Also as It comes with every ferrari post late 2011 anything since would have been services in the same way

The factory pay dealers just over warranty rate to carry out the servicing, so the square root of fk all. It's why the main dealers are suddenly so interested in getting the older cars back into the network and have dropped their prices. Too little too late...!

Just an anecdotal observation - as part of my market watch I've noticed a lot more 360's for sale through main dealers these days. It does seem like they want a piece of the action of older cars. I was even sent an email the other day by HR Owen asking to buy my old 360.
