355 F1 Gearbox warning light
Discussion
Hi all, took my motor out for a blast to Whitby and back last night in the summer sunshine. On the way there, cruising along at about 50-60, maybe 5th or 6th gear the gearbox failure warning light flashed and gave three beeps. Car running fine, gear selection fine (I didn't know what the light was until I check the manual later). 30 seconds later, one more beep and out goes the light.
I love a problem that sorts itself out so quickly. Anyone else had this? Is this the warning light to advise me that I'm going to be putting my hand in my pocket real soon, or should I just keep on motoring and see what happens?
Cheers,
Sean

It could be a hint that the clutch is going then again it could be the lever itself that has a little wear (especially on the two pins that manage reverse selection) and is causing a false positive - try wiggling it with the ignition on to see if it lights up again - Hills do a replacement bracket that takes about half an hour to fit
