Hi, just to say hello. Picked up my first Ferrari last Monday (see profile pic), and it's just been christened with its first trip to Le Mans this weekend. Surprisingly comfortable and I could get all my camping gear in. Very practical really!

I'm finding I'm getting even more attention than my TVRs did - and so far (touch wood) all of it has been very positive.

Cheers,

Andy.

Congrats and welcome to the Ferrari fold. A trip to Le Mans is perfect to get to know your new lady :-)

Oh and a Ferrari will always get more attention than a TVR :-)

Congrats Andy

I'm still a way off my first Ferrari, but my dad picked his first one up in 1996 (a 328). That got replaced a year later by a 355, which 18 years on still gives him and me a massive smile every time it goes out.

Me Too!
Collected my first one last month (California in Azzuro Blue) - LOVE it, even more than the Maser GranCabrio - Looking forward to taking it to Goodwood for the Festival of Speed!

Hello! I'm beginning to learn how to change gear smoothly and quickly - it has a unique character - the trip to Le Mans really helped learn. Next things to do are to find a detailer that will visit me and an independent service to do the non-stamped jobs.

You might need to give a hint as to your location if you want advice from us.....

Great choice wink. Wish I'd got a long trip in as soon as I'd bought mine but winter prevented me doing so. Now rectified with a 2500 mile round Hoon down to Monaco. Well bonded with it now - and yes, really practical as regards space and comfort!

Francis at Emerald Detailing (07909 541 048) did my 348 and DB9 before that, more known on the Aston forum, based up near Gaydon but travels down to Abingdon on a regular basis to do the village boys cars. In fact he's down this weekend doing a Cayman S and 911 GTS.

Thoroughly recommended, the amount of effort he puts in is amazing and shows in the finish.

Service wise, there's Damax but I ended up at QV in Windsor.

From a current TVR owner, who is keeping a close eye on the supercar threads at the moment, congratulations! That looks bloody lovely. thumbup

Hello Andy, congratulations on your first Ferrari. If you want to talk about detailing your new pride and joy give me a bell. Like Jason said, I'm more known on the Aston forum, but I'm no stranger to Ferrari's. I've just started work on an enzo and I've got a speciale to do on Monday. I'm also gtechniq authorised, so I have access to use the new Crystal serum coating, which is bettter than anything else on the market.
