So ive made my decision and decided to go for the 6200 mile car.

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/f...

It will be ready in about 10-12 days. cant wait!

I have managed to get a bit of deal on it too.

I Couldn't care less how much money it loses i'm going to drive it and enjoy it. I'm not going to get a better example with that miles on it and i absolutely love the interior!

Pictures to follow!

Judging by your choice of red with red, and your PH name - are you a Liverpool fan by any chance?!

Oh, and congratulations! 360s are great cars.

Well done! Lovely looking car you have there.

How did it drive?

I like the interior actually, looks excellent.

Out of interest, did you consider the car at Dick Lovetts?

also i love autos, it enables me to eat a cheeseburger drink a coke and be on the phone all at the same time and not worry about changing gear biggrin

I bought a 360 spider from meridian three years ago for 60k, and I felt that they were cheapskates on the warranty, again 4k upper limit. I think that when buying from a main dealer a better warranty should be given to not only reflect the dealer price but also for the professional aspect of who they are.
I also learnt that just because you buy from the main dealer you won't necessarily get any better vehicle than you could get either privately or from other dealers.
Anyway enjoy the lovely car you are getting, the 360 is a fantastic car IMHO, I still have a 360 spider and absolutely love it, IMHO its one of the best looking Ferraris's available, and without doubt one of the best value. Mike

Grant,

How comes you did not go for the £41k car from Autofficina?

Ok So i didnt buy the car from autofficina because its actually a bit of a pig....... and im also glas i didnt buy the one for £43,000 from safwat cars even though it was a well presented car with decent history.

The car has lots of bubbling on the paint in around 5 places which tells me its been filthy dirty for long periods of time, caked in mud or simply been out side for most of its life. The car is £41,000 for a reason, because it hasnt been looked after and im assuming the service history is scatty.

I have learnt so much in the last 3 months of looking for a car, and the RED 360 coupes are cheap for a reason, because they havent been maintained properly and probably had the pills revved out of them for most of there lives.

I Eventually spent the whole 60k at meridian in Southampton, it was a complete minter. absolutely perfect condition in side and out and barely covered 6000 miles. The second i drove it i knew exactly why i paid the extra money. It is the best looking 360 of its age i have EVER seen i found 1 tiny stone chip on it. It has a full documented history of its life and every thing was virtually new including tyres, brakes, discs etc etc.

Anyone thinking of buying a cheap one, its Cheap for a reason and could be an absolute money pit. im so glad i spent for the fUll 60k because i guarantee i will save a fortune in the long run.

So Guys if you cant afford a good condition one then get something more in your price range and it will ruin your ferrari ownership experience

Just to add some balance - the service history on the £41k car at Autofficina is actually pretty good (and I am firmly in the "annual oil changes regardless of mileage" camp.

However, I totally agree that buying the right car will save you money in the long term. A poor car has the potential to cost a lot of money.

I think the OP actually bought a RED 360 for £60000 so he does know this... I think he is merely trying to say that there are a lot of red cars out there not looked after properly because of laziness / lack of funds..

Mine of course is mint smilesmile
