Honest opinions sought. Why hasn't this CS sold ?

Looks to be a nice car with sensible mileage (some gaps in the service history, but there are cars with far worse in Europe .......)

Dick Lovett currently have a LHD car with circa 31K miles and an asking price of £119K :

Clive at MR911 sold three cars in the last half of 2013, one in red with similar mileage as the 4 * Classics car was up at £100k and sold, it's clear to all the market has clearly moved on since then (and DK Engineering sold their car (Lexan windows and factory stripe ?) within 24 hours last week with an asking price of £110k, so why to the PH Ferrari cognescenti think this car has "stuck" ?

As a matter of interest, what's seen as the most saleable (not individuals personal favorites please !!) spec for a CS ? Exterior colour ? interior colour/interior material ? etc etc.

Is it because its not on pistonheads or similar ? You would have to search to find this car no ?

Have to say that's a cracking add ........ Mind you looking at the other cars they know how to ask !

Perhaps coz it's the only Ferrari he has, so not seen as a Ferrari retailer as such.

I'm wondering if the market for LHD cars has become a little saturated. Last year the MR911 cars seemed to go very quickly, but since all the other dealers jumped on that same bandwagon of importing multiple cheap LHD cars from Europe, they seem to be hanging around for much longer in the classifieds. Even at that price difference to RHD, there's got to be only so many people who want what was always a niche hardcore model. Even some of the RHD cars seem to be sticking around for longer than they were even a couple of months ago.

The DK car that sold quickly was a rare spec, and they will have some very good contacts amongst serious collectors which may have helped shift it quickly.

Its a bit of an odd spec and doesnt have any harnesses or radio, same reason on mr911 current car - limited spec. The LHD ones that went quickly as well last year were all reasonable mileage and red/black alcantara interior.

Genuine question (as I'm not au fait with the F car market) but would the lack of radio and harnesses really make a car such as this, that difficult to sell ? (the lack of harnesses in such a hardcore car I can understand being an issue to a degree) but the lack of radio ? ?

I'm not a massive fan of the "standard" CS red/black alcantara dash, red/black steering wheel and red seats, so the all black alcantara/contrast red stitching of the 4 * Classics car is very appealing.

Prices have risen too fast on CS's so a degree of settlement is bound to happen, LHD cars are available in Europe cheaper and importing is not that difficult.

the collectors seem to want low mile cars with as close to launch spec as poss - that spec was rosso scuderia/tessuto alcantara/oem stripe /harness/ lexan /roll bar/ fire extinguisher/delete radio . we know only 2 cars had lexan and one is the 200k car for sale now.
