Quite possibly one of the best sounding cars out there...
My question is with either an eom cs exhaust or something like a Capristo stage 3 fitted would you get the same sound from a standard 360 or is part of the noise from the engine felting in the cs?

Thoughts... biggrin

Personally I think the Strad's a bit on the tame side ....

biggrin

But with some mods the Strad can sound "reasonable" :

hehe

Needs someone a bit handy behind the wheel to really make them sing though .....

Mine was delivered from the factory with sport cats...and this is how it sounded the second day I had it: yup at Le Mans, but only on normal mode

Shame I never took a video on sport mode - slimy the best screaming car I've ever had and heard!
And IMO much more epic/dramatic than Scud, 458 and other Gallardos...which I have heard on track

The CS exhaust was originally offered as an option to the standard 360 under the title "Racing Style Exhaust". A load of dealers in the US seem to have the last lot of the stock and quite a few people hav imported them back to Europe.

You will get 99% of the CS noise if you fit a CS/Racing Style exhaust to a standard 360. Most of the noise comes from when the valves open - they bypass the silencer completely. The remaining 1% will be due to the differences in engine mapping.

I don't think anyone other than Larini offer a similar type of exhaust. However, you can convert a 430 exhaust to fit a 360 which will give you 95% of the CS noise: Link.

Thanks...

I'm in the same boat, off loading Pork GT3 to go (back) to the dark / red side. Just have a thing for the 360 CS (as it is the last real hairy chested old school screamers - plus would sit just nicely along side my Desmo smile). Trying to work out it I can be doing with a left hooker in the UK or if I should buy a nice example standard car RHD and 'project' the car in to a RHD CS. I know it wont be a real one (before people start spouting off) but I like projects and it's a chance to tinker in the man cave and can personalise en route. If I can have 90% of a RHD CS for less than half the price jobs a good un...

Keep me posted, I'm exactly where you are, except I'm utterly p*ssed off with dealing with muppets and tw*ts in the car/performance/upgrade/painting trade that are all too willing to take money off you and yet provide poor service in return.
Accordingly I don't really want a project, but like you, I'm struggling to put the money that's required into a CS when a decent LHD 360 F1 Modena will provide a large slice of the CS experience for almost half the price.

Yes, I'm not sure how they ended up with all the exhausts. I even asked my parts man who is v.well connected to the factory and he didn't have an answer.

I do know someone who is importing a batch of these to the UK for re-sale. Drop me a PM if you want their details.

I bought one from America, and by the time you pay the tax and shipping etc, it gets quite a bit more expensive. Might be worth going straight to Prestige Autocare who should have stock.

Sorry no, but they are pretty much straight pipes...but with the lambda sensors plugs...so you don't get the engine check as you would with aftermarket straight pipes.

My car is 100% factory ...or was until I sold it

Interesting wonder what the Ferrari p/n for those sports cats are, never heard of them before and can't understand why they were not standard on the CS.
