I am going to drive to Maranello in my 328 GTS mid-June. Is there anything at Maranello you would recommend to organise beforehand, or equally elements of a visit that are less interesting based on your experience? Any advice really appreciated, as its my first trip there.

Many thanks!

Full Owners factory tour is about the only thing that has to be arranged in advance - contact nearest official dealer and/or local importer

I'm off there too in a couple of weeks too. We're taking in both the Museums, and the Factory 'bus ride' tour (ie they don't allow you off it).

Whats the deal with eligibility for the proper factory tour? I know you need to arrange with your local dealer. Is it reserved for customers of new cars, or will they arrange it for you even if just own a older/used donkey?

If you're an owner then fine, doesn't matter if new/used car, need to book in advance through via dealer.
Did the tour in 2012 & it was great!

I'm doing the museums, factories plus Pagani, etc after the Monaco Historics too.
Arranged the factory visits through my local dealer. There is a cost involved, about €/£100 per person. It seems that if you've bought a new car from a dealer recently the charge may be waived.

Factory bus tour is a total waste of time. You see nothing but a series of factory buildings, you may see the odd car but the bimbo-on-the-bus offers next to no insight into what is going on. Much better to head over to Sant' Agata Bolognese where (last May) I was able to get up close to the Aventador line with a guide who really knew her onions. The Ferrari museums are quite good but it's more like a theme park than a serious offering such as you would get at Porsche or Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart.
