Hi there, does anyone have any experience of the db levels of a 360 fitted with a Tubi exhaust? And what is the db for the standard exhaust levels. Thinking about track day noise limits. Thanks in advance ?

Standard exhaust = 105 db track days - maybe 102 db days if you are lucky - Tubi (or any sports exhaust) = only unlimited

It will depend on what level of Tubi you have, 1,2,3, NGT etc all have different noise levels, Your cats will also play a part OEM, Sports cats or Decat?

Any chance of a bit more info?

Also depending on what area your from you could pop into a quality exhaust manufacturer and get a reading.

I don't think you'll be passing any noise tests with anything other than the standard exhaust or one that has been designed with the test in mind. I think PTR Exhausts do one for the 360 that they designed for the Silverstone experience cars.

Also, as mentioned above, if you've not got the stock cats then forget it.

Thanks for the replies. Forgive the naivety, is there a way for telling what type of Tubi exhaust it is and whether the cats are standard? Would it be normal to change from standard cats when fitting a Tubi exhaust system would you say? Thanks in advance.

A solution like this one from BTB exhausts (picture shown is a porsche fitment) but this could be done.

Thanks T. Interesting... On the web site they look like the titanium repackage silencer I used to have on my Caterham, but that was external. Wonder how they would fit on the rear of a Ferrari? Have sent them an email anyway to see if they do something. Do you know how big a job is it to swap to a standard exhaust just for track day use?

Sorry for the daft questions. First Ferrari. Not picking up the car till Friday so flying in the dark somewhat!

The level should be stamped on a plate on the underside of the silencer (as well as the year of manufacture) - use a small mirror to have a look.

Been a while since I had a 360, but the cats and sports exhausts are not linked ie they're separate jobs and more people fit exhausts than do the cats. As others have said, any sort of sports exhaust and you're toast unless there's no noise limit; even with a stock setup you may well need to measure it with the valves closed. There are some valved aftermarket systems that may be worth looking at.

Unless someone has invented a funky way of swapping the back boxes, my recollection is that it's a least an hour since the bumper has to come off (happy to be corrected). The main time element though is that, assuming you drive the car there, you'll need the exhaust to cool before anyone will be able to touch it, in order to swap it out. Ideal is you leave the car overnight wherever you get the job done.

To Swap an exhaust is a rear bumper off job, An hour and half if you know what your doing, upto 3 hours if its the first time and the exhaust has not been off before.

I think the BTB idea (like the porsche one) bolts onto the tail pipes, which you would fit when you get to the track and remove before you set off home again, each tail pipe will have a clamp - so you would just slip it on and tighten 4 clamps up, it maybe possible to have some exhaust wrap to save scratching the tail pipes - See what BTB come back with - i'd be most interested.

N.B Tubi tail pipes are wider than OEM so choose your system before getting something made!

Thanks again all for the replies. Will try to find out more detail from BTB - they have replied saying they have done 360 silencers before- will try to find out what context. Maybe easier to get a standard exhaust and just swap over the day before. Probably only do a couple of TD's a year so not too much hassle.
