458 replacement/ Lifespan

Hi,

458 been out since 2009, longer than I thought. But anyone have any guest or idea when we can expect to see the replacement?

The speciale out this year and say 2015 and I would expect to see the spider 458 speciale, so thinking potentially 2016 for the replacement of the 458?

Do you think Ferrari would sacrifice the opportunity for a limited run open top Speciale? I'm not sure I can see that happening. Then again even though we had 16M, there was no convertible Challenge Stradale before that.

I'm also not sure they would show the new 458 just 6 months after the California T. But also the next Frankfurt motorshow is September 2015, which doesn't fit with your suggestion of revealing it then for a mid-2015 launch...!

If they did save the new 458 car for Frankfurt 2015 and as such a mid-2016 launch, that would fit allowing the time needed. They could show the convertible Speciale at Paris this October.

I don't think Ferrari are too worried about the new 458 and the California T fighting with each other. I would wager anyone considering one is not going to consider the other.

I do forget the 458 is that old, still looks box fresh. Stunning car.

Agreed if it was launched today you wouldn't need to change a thing. I think the original gallardo is a stunning piece of design too , and has aged by over familiarity more than anything.

Speciale is a 458 life extender, thats why its quite keenly priced, it will keep the 458 going until the replacement to the 458 drops
