Hi all,

Recently discovered a bit of old family history. My father used to have a red (pretty sure Rossa corsa) 328 GTS when I was a kid.

The number plate was F353 TRY and I thought it would be worth a punt to see if anyone on here knows the car, either recently or in the past?

We sold it in 1997 for a F355 which may be coming up for sale soon, would be nice to know what happened to the last one!

Here are some recent(ish) pictures of your fathers car.
The picture where the car is registered B1 MTD is from 2009 (I think) and the other is from 2010.
It is a very nice example and has previously been entered in the Owners' Club Concours.

Oh absolutely amazing!

Thankyou so much for this, really nice to see a picture of the car!

Are you the new owner by any chance, I assume you either are or must know them if you know it is the same car but no longer on the same plate?

Thanks so much - would be great to track the car down one day, I have some old pictures of it the owner might like!

The FOC should know who the current owner is, they may be able to forward 'photos or put you in touch, but obviously I cannot speak on their behalf. Nice looking 328!

Good suggestion - if the car's being showed the owner is likely a member.

I got inspired to find it when I found an MoT for it amongst a pile of papers for the 355.

Very, very late arrival to this thread James (blame Christmas boredom googling car reg nos) but I thought you might be interested to know I bought your dad’s car in the late 90’s from Maranello Sales in Egham.

It was indeed as you recall Rosso Corsa with crema hide, rosso carpets. It had a Kent High Performance stainless steel exhaust which sounded utterly brilliant.

I absolutely loved it; it was a relatively high mileage car at around 39k miles so I drove it and enjoyed it. It even took me and my wife away from church when we got married, and I used to take my now 23 yr old daughter for drives in it as a baby so she’d sleep!

It won its class at the FOC concours, proving I took care of it too!

I had all the service work done by the excellent Neal Lucas in Camberley, but to be honest it wasn’t a scrap of trouble.

I had a few great years with it before I foolishly px’d it for a 355 myself. I never got on with the 355 and regretted it.

I came across the car for sale again in the mid/late 00’s, being sold by Foskers or Rardley Motors. Had I had the funds then I would have bought it back. It’s a really special car.

Ive got a few pics and bits and bobs somewhere I can dig out if you’re still interested. The original number plates are still on the shelf in my garage!
