Get the proper CS grille rather than the challenge version. The CS one has bigger holes and is ally rather than the heavy steel challenge item. The CS one also fits far better, you have to do a fair bit of filing and packing to get the other to fit nicely...

Try pro-sport Ferrari. Sometimes a bit slow to get back to you, but I think the quality of the grill is better than the official part.

Agreed. There's little point in swapping one solid panel for another.

As much as I love Prosport, I couldn't agree with this.

Voicey, as far as I knew the originals rusted but pro sport zinc coat theirs? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Possibly but the fitment of the OEM item is superior (IMHO) and if you go for the CS grill as Ed suggested you'll negate any corrosion issues.

Thanks to you all, I have obtained a genuine ferrari grille from Tim walker, what a powerful thing, and a good thing ,both the internet and the forums are. I will put the grille on after the Capristo is fitted and that will about finish off my dream car, thank you Voicey and Tim, regards Mike

Question... Is it easy to fit a challenge grille to a non grille car? I often see the two types and wonder how easy it is to retro fit?

Yes - the mounting points are the same for both types. Here are some pictures: Linky

Easy on a 360, getting one to fit a 430 is a whole different story as it requires a dfferent rear bumper

Guys, what's the difference between a CS grill and a Challenge grill? I'm after a CS style rear grill for my 360 but wasn't aware there are two different types.

Cheers,
Mike.

The "Challenge Style Grill", to give it it's proper name, is a steel grill that was offered as an optional extra to 360 Modena and Spider cars. The code was GRD1 and it cost an extra £352.

The Challenge Stradale grill was fitted as standard to the CS. It is made from aluminium and has slightly larger holes than the steel version.

If I were buying a brand new grill, I would get the CS one.

I am so so glad I fitted the challenge grille to my car, the newCapristo seems to warm the rear somewhat, so at least I have much more cooling,.
Also it looks superb, Mike
