Ferrari 360 Spider Purchase

Hi all, I wonder if I could ask the advice of those in the know...

I live in Dubai where, believe it or not there are few 360 spiders and even fewer manual ones.

I went to look at one tonight and grabbed the vin number from the plate on top of the steering column.
Running it through online vin decoders seems to indicate an issue though and I'm a bit stuck.

The vin is ZFFYT53J00012570

can anyone with more experience than me advise..... I've been told that the car came from Japan and it shows only 9k but it has absolutely no history!!

Won't Ferrari look into this for you? I went to chevrolet here and gave them the vin and they were able to give me the entire cars history with a couple of clicks. Didn't cost anything other than a smile and being polite.
