Speciale sounds fine to me - and not so loud you can't use it on any circuits.Reading Pistonheads forums lately it appears that nothing will ever be better than a CS in any way, at any time.........
I really like the idea that the sound is focused for the cabin so it's a bit more trackday legal that the CS and Scud were and you don't need Ferrari or db unlimited specific days to use it. However, there's always going to be times were you really just need to give it a massive boot full of right foot and want the world to know you're coming
It sounds decent in the videos, but certainly not an attention grabbing sound like a CS gives out from 5 miles away

Respectfully, you moved the goal posts. You didn't say anything about short term losses.
The CS is now arguably above list. Well above the "normal" 360 which is about half its list price. The delta will only grow.
As you know, very few cars make above list in 1 to 2 years after launch.
There is no reason to assume in the longer term the Speciale will not be worth relatively more than 458, and in the short term it will depreciate.
