Hi chaps,
I think you'll find that it's not a genuine 993 GT2. Calling Agent Orange to confirm but 993GT2's never came with sunroofs. Probably be a turbo 4 with a GT2 bodykit, note smaller front brake calipers. Knew a chap a few years back that had an arena red turbo 4 with a GT2 bodykit and BBS wheels, came from Pullicino. Also needs the ride height dropped on the front, it's almost at Cayenne levels
Looks much better like this

Brakes are the same though!
Not expert but I think you'll find GT2 calipers were larger than the TT's. Will go off and investigate. Where's Vic gone ?.RWD obviously
450bhp upgrade
different suspension & uprights/hubs
lightweight interior (some gt2's have normal seats/s wheel)
fat arches & wheels
Some have lightweight doors/bonnet. All have thinner glass I think.
My dick weighs in @ c 1440kg with fuel whereas the gt2 is around 1300?
This is why I couldn't justyify the extra £80K over my car - that and the fact I now live on an islands 3.5 x 1.5 miles across! GT2 is still my dream car.....
I'd be happy to hear of or be corrected other differences

you have two choices 993 GT2 1995/1996 and GT2 Evo 1998
1995/1996 had 430bhp running K16 turbo's, Evo had 450bhp running K24's modified heads and different camshafts.
All cars had light weight glass with thinner steel. Early car had ali doors and ali bonnet. Evo's had steel doors and ali bonnet.
Interior depending on choice. Comfort seats, Leather race buckets, Half cage, club sports no interior and nomex race seats, most with a/c and some without. Some with seat belts, inertia real harness belts or proper harnesses. I guess at that level of spend you could spec pretty much what you wanted other than a sunroof.
57 1995/1996 cars an 21 Evo's.
The difference to drive. I collected essentials car from fearnsport today as I had to pick up my BBS wheels. Exiting a roundabout, nail it in 2nd and it grips and goes. The Evo is not so friendly, it scrabbles for grip and it will be sideways but still wharp factor up the road. Two good mates, both Porsche nutters have been in the Evo and could not believe the performance. It really is a supercar
Morning Rav,
It's a lot of money for a look alike but a fair chunk of money less than a genuine one. The GT2 was more than just the some of its parts, They used thinner steel, lighter weight glass, different suspension and of course 2 wheel drive. There were lots of other features that set them apart from the Turbo 4 that makes them that bit extra special. (it should do considering the cost).
If you love the look of the GT2 it is an alternative but resale becomes an unknown quantity which would worry me. A lot of people are very wary about buying tuned Porsche's without the addition of the GT2 bodykit. A mint low mileage Turbo 4 would be I guess not much change from £65K. I can't see how they can justify £84K for a GT2 replica. If I were you I'd go the extra mile and buy a genuine car. You won't be dissappointed and you know that your money is safe. Well as safe as anything can be nowadays anyway.

Does a cosmetic make over qualify double the market price ?
Spent a little time in a race shop yesterday, old mate of urs G , Rob S , listening to how they strengthened GT2 ex fac racecars way beyond seam welding ...............guess the whole thing is how far do u want to go, but surely u must get something for it than spats and some simple bolt on mods ??

Thanks for that Graeme, that's what I was thinking, at the moment I'll have to stick to my 996 GT2 instead which alot of people have under-estimated - IMO.It's a lot of money for a look alike but a fair chunk of money less than a genuine one.
