Hi all,

My 993 has some surface rust appearing on the rear quarter panel just above the bumper line.

It's a very small area of rust but obviously there's more lurking behind it so I'd like to get it sorted.

Can anyone recommend a good body repair shop around the Glasgow area/ Central Scotland?

Thanks

Eric Tenney at Bodycraft is a seasoned restorer and paint guy. He did my rusty windscreen sills or “cowls” I think they are called. He also sprayed the bonnet, bumpers, wings etc and anything that needed it leaving the doors with a machine polish which he thought were okay.

I can only find before pics close up:

I used Ecosse Automotive in Boness on my 964 last winter and they were first class.

At the Porsche In the Glen car show last year I looked at a couple of Porsches that had been restored by Jaq's bodyshop in East Kilbride and they were stunning though no personal experience.

Thanks I've been in touch with them and I'm collating/comparing quotes.

I reckon these cars are now reaching an age where, unless they've lived in Texas their whole life, there's some surface rust appearing outside of the usual scuttle rust.

Mine certainly needs a few minor bits addressed too.
