Rear access with Recaro pole positions
Discussion
I can vouch for the Recaro pole position being really supportive and comfortable but obviously they don’t tip forward (at least mine don’t).
Access to the rear is limited in the 993, but moving the seat forward makes it reasonably ok.
To be honest I don’t use the rear seats much anyway!

I have factory Recaro buckets in my 993 RS, basically Pole Positions. Thinner items (e.g up to about 10 inches wide - car is not on site do can't do a proper measurement for you) can be squeezed into the luggage space between the back of the seat and the B pillar provided the seat is slid fully forwards. Larger items have to be fed through on the centre line of the car, between the headrests as that is the widest point. That is a drag but doable, but the heavier the bag is the more killing it is as one has to hoic it up in the air and try to avoid scuffing the seat cover or headlining.
Have you sat in a Pole Position for any length of time? I find mine supremely uncomfortable after about 90 minutes, getting me in the lower back and bum. Obviously some people find them comfy. Maybe I am just an odd shape or mine is at the wrong angle (there are two height settings on Recaro rails at the front and two at the rear to adjust the tilt of the seat - after 20 years ownership I should have fiddled...). In contrast, the GT seats in my 1997 Caterham are luxury.
Recaro buckets do look cool though. I guarantee that after you have whacked your coccyx on the rigid side bolster once when getting into the car you won't do it again!
I hope this helps.

Thanks, very helpful, I still need to try them for size, I will prob try some lumbar options in the stock seats (but I had similar issues many years ago in my 944 turbo and 968 and no matter what I did couldn’t improve them). Interesting what you say about the 7 as the Tillets in mine were surprisingly comfortable, and if I could make them look a bit “period” would be tempted to try a set.Have you sat in a Pole Position for any length of time?
