I have just purchased this car, it is from a reputable dealer who inspected it thoroughly.

However there is limited service history, it seems to have spent time in Nottinghamshire and Dumfries.

Serviced by Merlin and various other places.

If anyone knows a previous owner or can help me get details of any work carried out id appreciate

Thanks

Chris

Norfolk by any chance?

Try asking on Impact Bumpers (https://www.impactbumpers.com) and PCGB 3.2 Register (https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tt.aspx?forumid=13)

It's in Essex, car is in fantastic condition and apparently mostly original paint, low miles and lots of stamps in the service book- just missing the details..
Anyway I'm taking delivery soon and would be nice to have any additional info to build up my file.
I have posted similar on PCGB and ImpactBumpers,

Cheers

Cassis is a nice colour, and ‘87 will be a G50 gearbox.

But this thread really needs pics.

This is the car, really wowed me in the flesh and subsequent test drive

That looks gorgeous, but I do have a soft spot for the G50 3.2s, especially narrow body Coupes.

Premium price, but much prefer original factory finish to a dubious, customised, ‘restomess’.

Yes it’s up there price wise- I saw plenty for less and a few for more, including a trip to Europe. This one is definitely the best condition, which was my main priority and it turns out the colour is a bonus- for me.
I did consider a cheaper one and then undertaking a project of restoration but I’m much happier going this route.

Compare it against this for context.

911V have a very interesting SC in stock as well.

That’s a concours Supersport so not exactly comparable. I think 911V are perhaps the best used Porsche seller and I would buy from them based on the description alone. I’ve had the opposite experience with PS, hope buyer has thoroughly checked the car over and is happy with the car before taking delivery.
