I normally do my own spannering, but the car had a 'bad' and welded-in ABS sensor, plus I wanted to fit a new starter-motor and earth-strap, which isn't a nice fun job.

So on the recommendation of a friend who has a Cayman, I asked JAT-Auto-Services-Ltd, Coolham in West Sussex to do all the nasty stuff for me.
They have Porsche and BMW training I believe, and deep knowledge of the older VAG engines.

On my visits, there were 986, 996, 997 and Caymen everywhere.

Not only do they have an obvious love for the slightly older cars, they make the customer feel like an old friend.

They did the jobs and looked after the car very well. In fact, whilst it was waiting for the ABS sensor to arrive, they stuck the car in the middle of the workshop so they could 'look at it all day whilst working on other cars....' hehe

On top of the above critical factors, their hourly rate is currently still back in the 1990s, so the Invoice total was embarrassingly low.

They don't have a seating area with hot drinks, or even spare chairs, but instead it's a proper workshop with proper mechanics.

Even if you live miles away, give them a call if you are in need of some work... trust me.
