Let's throw in this minter. Hope you like it.
22-07-2022 5th #DauwtrappeRS Cars & Coffee coming to an end.
More of that mega 1978 father-to-son 930.
Not a shame to spill some extra beans.
I can't think of a car with an insane wing like this.
The son uses it on a weekly basis.
Love it, thanks for sharing! Stunning colour that. Perhaps this thread can grow as the place for time-warp 930’s. 22-07-2022 5th #DauwtrappeRS Cars & Coffee coming to an end.

stunning, thanks for sharing but is that a time warp factory fresh one or has it been restored? Here's restored one :

Lovely that one. Yep I guess it makes no odds if time-warp or restored, but there is something amazing about these time-warp ones. Here's restored one :

A 1975-1989 930 is such a world apart from the NA G models.
So comfy and relaxed to drive. This changed with the 964 and on.
I guess with the 964 3.6 Turbo the raw edges kind of shaved of.
As with the regular 964 NA and certainly the 993 NA I think the 911 transformed into a car anyone can drive and be at ease.
The 4-speed 930 versions I like best: you gotta do the work The sound is intimidating at best.
Lifting after acceleration and you'll hear 30 years of Porsche racing heritage behind ya.

For me a Guards Red 930 was the quintessential 911. It was my poster car and I was lucky enough to make it a reality.
Owned this one for 5 years and enjoyed many trips all over Europe, epic car!
Sunstrip wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste but anyone who has owned one of these and driven it as intended will know just how much heat sink there is in the cockpit. Anything that could provide some shade was most welcome!

I've found the 4 speed not ideal for serpentine roads; you'll practically never leave 2nd gear. It's a riot to drive however.
That second gear is the bloody point innit: no match for all the pops and bangs it makes. The last one I like is the 964 Turbo 3.6:
And the 3.3:
But they are already a bit too perfect for mee...
