Only intend as a bit if fun

I’m contemplating tiding a few bits of the paint up on my 911,
In true typical man approach, thoughts have turned to a full colour change.

Someone on FB kindly shopped it in my preferred colour.

I think Gulf blue with Fuchs alloys is nice.

Here are a few options. I hope you don’t find too much rust when preparing for paint.

That is lovely.

It’s hard to know if these colours work as well on a narrow bodied car.

What’s the history of the car ? Is the bodywork 100% solid ? Could get very expensive if they uncover issues when prepping the car. Personally have no problem with colour changes, go for it ! Think I;d keep it to period correct or earlier colours.

Looks almost the same as this color, 911T from 1972 painted in Mexico Blue so the ad says.

What I think would also be a good color, is what they use on some Lotus, a very dark green Empire Green

or from Porsche Vesuvio , or something like that in dark brown metallic

that one has also a special leather color Nephrit Grün

Rather than spend the money on a ‘colour change’, why not go for a set of Fuchs wheels?

If you look at the other images in this thread, whatever the colour, it’s the beautiful classic Fuchs that would really enhance the look of the car.

I bought a set at the same time as the car, but they where perhaps a tad too big.

Same car, before the cills were removed and with Capag wheels.
