G-model love.

I can't help but pick the G-model to be my favorite range of Porsche. It might not be the most spectacular but for me all elements come together in a 930, 2.7, 3.0 or 3.2 SC. Please drop your G of choice and make this a pretty topic. Thx!

I think there were some duffers in the G-series range, but fortunately punctuated by two of the nicest - the ‘74 Carrera 2.7 (not an RS) and the the ‘87-89 G50 3.2s, which still looks even sweeter with 16” Fuchs but no rear spoiler.

Gorgeous stuff. Please keep them coming!

Autumn 2018 I fell for this SC Outlaw with a 964 engine in. The original US car came from a river and was picked up for grabs. Young mechanic totally stripped it, restored and upgraded to this sleeper. Quick!

The photosession was complete with a black 3 litreTarga and a Talbot Yellow Japanese SC which in my eyes stole the show.

Yes, lot of affection for the 3.2 Carreras. Had two in the late '80s/early '90s and kept a CS for 12 years.

Favourite is the plain vanilla, unspoilered, narrow-bodied G50 Coupe.

Some say that, if you remove the rear spoiler from a 'Sport' model, you should also remove the front rubber lip spoiler to equalise the lift, but I doubt that's relevant at sub 100 mph speeds, in fact leaving it could reduce the understeer.

Nothing wrong with a nice 915, lighter, and the last of a line developed from the racing transmissions.

Agree 915’s have an unfair bad rep - a properly sorted one is a fantastic thing smile

Yes, another vote for the 915 'box. Here's my car following a rather expensive service!

As am impressionable early teen, I used to regularly walk past Autofarms workshops, back when they were based in Amersham.....

They nearly always had some wide arched bewinged Porsche racer in the front, and since then Ive always likes the smaller, older Pork......
