Anyone ever seen a 993 cab with an aftermarket hardtop?

No, and never heard of any company doing them.

It would be difficult to do because the soft top does not fold down flush like the SL, 3 series and 996.

I have seen a 964 speedster with a hard top, but again, that is probably because the hood stows away neatly.

Never seen one for a 993 cabrio.

Have a look at their site

Some of Strosek's stuff is IMHO a bit pimpy

Wow, good find.

But, I would guess they had to take the soft top "off" the car to put that lid on (ie can't see the folded roof through the rear view window). Pain in the arse to do each to time you want to swap!

They don't say much about it, only that it's lightweight.
Anyway, think it's similar to your descrption; just change the roof twice a year (summer/winter).

Found another one (complete car for sale):

Vendor says it's build was supported by Weissach's engineers on an RS platform, and only one similar vehicle exists, which is owned by Porsche itself. Don't know how serious, though.
Link to offer

Bodo, well done finding the 993 cabrio one.

The purple one below is actually a speedster - see the low roof. This is the type of hard top I'd seen, a Strosek conversion as you rightly pointed out. I never guessed they did one for the standard cabrio though.

Nah, you can't get them for the 993 unless (as in the pics) you want to go for some major body mods.

The 964 Speedster can have a hard top but that's a different design altogether and you get the hard cover for the soft top even when it's down on a standard car making the attachment of a hard top easy.

After some research, I have found this company in France that does make high-quality hard tops for 993 Cabriolets. I have written to them today for a quote.
